Description

Capparis sarmentosa is a scrambling or climbing vine of drier rainforests of N NSW and SE QLD. Australia has 10-20 native Capparis species. Beautiful showy caper flowers to 25mm. Grows to 2m. Fruit is edible, attracts bees, birds and butterflies to the garden.

Care and Cultivation of Capparis sarmentosa

Capparis sarmentosa likes a full sun position and well-drained soil. Will respond well to regular watering over the warmer months, even over colder months in most areas. Frost and drought hardy. Give something to climb up like a tree or plant on its own where it will scramble.
