Description

A cross between Trichocereus arboricola x variegated red T. grandiflorus and Trichocereus ‘HB02’.

Trichocereus arboricola x variegated red T. grandiflorus is an interesting cross produced by a US breeder. Some individuals are variegated. Beautiful red flowers. Only grows up to 1m tall.

Trichocereus HB02 is a Herbalistics selection from a batch of Trichocereus ‘Super Pedro’ x ‘Psycho0’ seedlings. Very attractive with a glaucous/blue skin in most situations, good disease resistance, fast growing and hardy in most climates. A sister of HB05.

Care and Cultivation of Trichocereus (arboricola x variegated red T. grandiflorus) x HB02

As they get older the watering can become deeper and more frequent. Potting up can be done when 5-10mm in diameter or after 6-8 weeks at a minimum. Keep in part-shade until large enough to deal with full-sun. Once established, Trichocereus species can be watered most of the year in all climates.
