Ocimum basilicum – Mrihani Basil (seed)

Description

A variety of basil originally collected on the island of Zanzibar off the East coast of Africa. It has a sweet anise/liquorice aroma, better than Thai Basil! We also find it grows exceptionally well in the subtropics and is disease and pest resistant. Substitute for Thai basil and normal basil in culinary adventures.

Care and Cultivation

Sow the same as normal Ocimum basilicum (just under the surface of a good soil mix, keep moist until germination). Full sun with good drainage and adequate water.
