Description

Mentha diemenica is known by the common name of slender mint. The species is named after Van Diemen’s Land, which is now called Tasmania. It is a mint species within the genus Mentha, native not only to Tasmania but also to Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia (from www.bie.ala.org.au).

Care and Cultivation of Mentha diemenica

Mentha satureioides likes a full sun to part shade position with adequate moisture. Easy to care for, prune and fertilise regularly for best results. Creeping groundcover to 20-30cm tall. This variety was collected locally in SE Qld.
