Sugar Rush Peach is a pod type of Capsicum baccatum. A beautiful peach colour at maturity, with a nice burst of sweet chilli juice, this is a unique chilli type. Medium heat level (6-7). Forms a bush up to 1.5 metres tall with multiple stems and is a prolific bearer. Fruits begin erect on the plant and gradually turn horizontal or completely hang down.

Care and Cultivation of Capsicum baccatum ‘Sugar Rush Peach’

Sugar Rush Peach seeds should be sown just under the surface of a good quality seed raising mix, keep moist until germination. Sow seeds in spring/summer or autumn in warmer areas. Seeds germinate in 1-2 weeks. Prefers full to part sun and adequate moisture. Perennial in most areas.

    Great germination rate, hardy plants with a large amount of chillis that take a while to ripen but are well worth the wait. Nice to throw into the cooking, very tasty, quite spicy eaten fresh but not overpoweringly so. An instant favourite. Thanks!
