Description

The Australian Red Cedar is most well known for its rich, beautiful and highly sought after red timber. However it is a fast growing species with a wide tolerance for climatic conditions. Being deciduous is another advantage, filtering the hot summer heat and allowing the winter sun through into the garden.

Red Cedar is a very handsome deciduous tree for the larger garden. It can be kept trimmed but looks best when allowed to grow to its potential. Tolerant of dry conditions when established, a family easy plant to look after.
