Description

Syzygium branderhorstii is generally a small tree (5-10m) but can reach up to 50cm DBH (20m). Occurs on Cape York and in FNQ, also in PNG, from near sea level to 100m ASL. Grows in drier, more seasonal rain forest.

Syzygium branderhorstii is cauliflorus, meaning it flowers grow directly out of the stem. Fruit are edible, white to dark purple, variable in shape, about 30-50mm long and 20 – 40mm wide.
