Mitragyna hirsuta – Kra Thum Khok (plant)

Description

Mitragyna hirsuta is a member of the Rubiaceae family and its native range is China (Yunnan) to Indo-China (Laos, Vietnam,Thailand, Burma and Cambodia). Used traditionally as an alternative to Kratom in it native range but is legal within Australia and does not contain mitragynine.

Care and Cultivation of Mitragyna hirsuta

A tall tree in habitat but will be smaller under open growing conditions. Grows well in a subtropical environment. Outside of this in warm or cold temperate climates it would need to be protected during the colder months. Likes good drainage and adequate moisture.
