Trichocereus ‘HB07’ (cactus)

5.0 (1 review)

Trichocereus are South American cacti with many being used traditionally for divining purposes. Hybridisation occurs readily as individuals do not or very rarely self-pollinate. An upright species to 6 metres tall.

The HB07 clone is a Herbalistics selection from a batch of Trichocereus bridgesii ‘Psycho0’ x ‘Super Pedro’ seedlings. A lovely blue and lightly spined clone which displays melted/semi-monstrose growth at times.

Care and Cultivation of Trichocereus HB07

Keep in part-shade until large enough to deal with full-sun, which will depend on the increasing exposure you give the cactus. Once established, Trichocereus species can be watered most of the year in all climates, although they will cease to grow or slow right down over winter in colder areas. Fertilise regularly with fish emulsion/seaweed at half strength over the growing season.

1 cutting (100-150mm length)

This monstrose clone is incredible. So fat, so beautiful, lots of messed up ribs while still being fully columnar.
