Trichocereus cuzcoensis was originally collected in Peru by Dr. Rose and is named after the Peruvian city Cuzco. Up to 6 metres tall. Suspected of being used for sacramental purposes in Peru.

I grew this T. cuzcoensis from seed over 15 years ago and it displays variegated growth at times.

Care and Cultivation of Trichocereus cuzcoensis

Keep Trichocereus cuzcoensis in part-shade until large enough to deal with full-sun. Once established, Trichocereus cuzcoensis can be watered most of the year in all climates. Fertilise moderately over the growing period. Reported to be quite cold tolerant.

1 cactus cutting, 200mm length, ~100mm diameter. Mostly midcuts
