$28.55 – $32.95
Psychotria viridis is used traditionally in South America as an Ayahuasca additive. Ayahuasca is a word from the Kechua tribe meaning ‘Vine of the soul’ and refers to the main ingredient of the Ayahuasca drink, Banisteriopsis caapi.
Please choose your option; we offer leaves of several Psychotria viridis varieties, Psychotria carthagenensis and Psychotria cv. Nexus.
Care and Cultivation of Psychotria species
Relatively medium to fast growing plant if kept in a warm position. Prefers a shady, moist, well-drained site and a rich loam soil with adequate fertiliser. Psychotria viridis is not particularly cold tolerant, depending on micro-climate, preferring tropical/subtropical regions, but can survive further south if protected over the colder months.
These leaves are fresh and ready for propagation as leaf cuttings. Simply cut the stipule off the end of the leaf, place in soil under humidity, water in, keep moist and new plants should appear in 1-3 months. Leaves are shipped in coco peat to retain freshness.
