Description

Passiflora cinnabarina is an Australian native passionfruit species with beautiful red flowers. Fruit is evidently inedible. Appears to be adapted to a fire regime and will regenerate readily from seeds after a bushfire.

Care and Cultivation

Passiflora cinnabarina seeds may need smoke treatment, heat or boiling water treatment to germinate (pour boiling water over the seeds and let stand overnight before planting). Likes full sun to part shade. Needs a trellis, fence or tree to climb over.
