Description

Nicotiana goodspeedii is an herb to 1m, often with many stems; stems and leaves usually glabrous. Annual to short lived perennial. Widespread in southern Australia, extending from south-eastern WA to north western Vic, the Riverina area and central plains of NSW.  Grows mostly in alkaline soils, often in sand overlying limestone, in open, frequently disturbed areas. Care and Cultivation of Nicotiana goodspeedii

Nicotiana goodspeedii does not require any special treatment to germinate. Simply sow Nicotiana goodspeedii like other tobacco seeds (sprinkle on the surface of a good quality sandy/well drained potting mix and water in gently). A soil mix high in inorganic materials like sand, pumice, gravel etc is preferable. Germination will occur within 7-21 days. Keep moist until germination. Likes plenty of roots pace in a sandy/well drained position. Full sun. Drought tolerant.
