Scutellaria is a genus of approximately 300 species of annuals and perennials. Scutellaria nana is a small perennial native to north America. Also called Mad Dog Desert Skullcap or Mad Dog Weed due to it being used to treat rabies in the past.

This herb has been reported as being a good smoking herb, similar in effects to Cannabis. Bioassays have found this subspecies to be active at doses as low as two dried leaves. The following paragraph is from

Found throughout the Great Basin the small, nearly invisible plant is as strong as the highest quality Marijuana. Unfortunately, it will cloud your head and make you tired unlike most of the other herbs we use. If you live in a desert area you should definitely try your local little Skullcap. This herb is so strong I urge mixing it with other herbs.

1g dried herb. Grown without use of artificial pesticides/fungicides/fertilisers in QLD by Herbalistics.

Have used this herb in my favourite mixes, I’m impressed! Mixes well with herbs like Zornia, just ordered another gram!

This is saphrina…. nana has yellow flowers. This is not dwarf skullcap and not what that article “herbal smoking mixtures” is referring too. Sorry do some real research (I’ve done a lot) and you’ll find this too be true. Wikipedia is wrong also.
