Withania riebeckii (seed)
Out of stock
Endemic to Yemen, Solanaceae family. A very rare and threatened dwarf member from the island of Socotra (Yemen). More succulent leaves than W. somnifera.
The root has the same smell as W. somnifera and also has a very similar taste, strongly suggesting that it will contain Withanolides and be active medicinally like Withania somnifera.
Care and Cultivation Sow seed in spring/summer/autumn. Grows from 30cm to 1 metre. Cut back plants in early spring. Full sun or partial shade. Well-drained soil. Perennial.
