$5.25 – $19.25
Rivea corymbosa (syn. Turbina corymbosa) is a vine from the Convolvulaceae family, which also includes the genera Ipomoea (Morning Glory) and Merremia (Hawaiian Woodrose), Argyreia (HBWR) amongst others. A large vine in tropical and subtropical conditions which has heart-shaped leaves. Likes adequate water and a full-sun to part-shade position in well drained soil. Native to Central America. Many members of the family are used shamanically, medicinally and for divination purposes (for example, Argyreia nervosa, Stictocardia tiliifolia, Rivea corymbosa and Ipomoea violacea).
Rivea corymbosa seeds contain ergine (LSA) and have similar uses to Argyreia nervosa seeds. The flowers are well liked by bees. Info at Wikipedia.
Care and Cultivation of Rivea corymbosa
Rivea corymbosa seeds should be nicked (away from the embryo, which is the small round ‘eye’ of the seed) and then sown 5-10mm under the surface of a good quality seed raising, keeping moist and in part shade until germination.
