These are Jalapeno chillies that have been smoked with Eucalyptus wood and fresh garden herbs, then sun dried to create an awesome tasting spice suitable for Mexican cooking, curries or any meal where a smoke flavour and heat is required. Chilli-Heads add them to just about any meal. Sweet, smoky, cheeky and hot.
Chipotle are soaked for 10-20 minutes in hot water, or chopped roughly before use. Soaking allows the flavour to penetrate the dish. Seeds can be removed to decrease the heat level (slightly!).
Grown without use of artificial fertiliser/pesticides/fungicides in SE QLD.
