Capsicum sp. ‘Aji Gusanito’ (seed)
Out of stock
Capsicum sp. ‘Aji Gusanito’ is an interesting variety of chilli direct from Bolivia. Actually a Capsicum frutescens/chinense cross, this plant is anything but a typical frutescens in terms of both appearance and flavour. The pods have chinense characteristics being both pungent (hot) and wrinkled. It bears prolifically and has good to excellent pest and disease resistance.
Care and Cultivation
Aji Gusanito seeds should be sown just under the surface of a good quality potting mix, keep moist until germination. Sow seeds in spring/summer or autumn in warmer areas. Seeds germinate in 4-6 weeks, longer than other species of chillies. Prefers full to part sun and adequate moisture. Perennial in most areas.
